Nutanix Sr. Engineering Manager, Server Hardware & Platforms (14+ Years) in Bangalore, India
If you are an Engineering Manager with expertise in x86 Servers & Hardware Components like CPU, Memory, BMC, BIOS, HBA, NIC etc., with a penchant for Automation, then look no further. We are looking for an experienced Engineering Manager in Server Hardware & Platforms, who will contribute to Development, Testing & Automation required to launch new components and platform updates, including newer technologies like UEFI, NVMe & RDMA, at a very fast pace.
As as the manager of the HW/FW & Components qualification team in India, work with Global Peers and Leaders, TPMs, and Server & Component vendors to understand the upcoming technologies and components, firmware releases etc., and align the team of engineers for timely execution & delivery.
Play active role in developing platform and components qualification plans, and guide the team on execution and automation of these tests using the existing frameworks.
Actively hire both Full Time employees and Contractors to scale the team to keep up with the growing demands.
Provide mentorship to the team members, especially in dealing with emerging technologies like the RDMA, 100 GBE, etc.
Front-end high-impact customer escalations, and guide the team towards RCA and closure.
Required Skills and Experience
Thorough understanding of modern x86 server architectures and servers components like CPU, Memory, BMC, BIOS, HBA, NIC, NVMe, RDMA, etc.,
Deep understanding and skills for debugging and root causing issues on Servers and Software that are due to Hardware components and/or Firmware and/or Device Drivers.
Good knowledge of OS & Virtualisation software interactions with the Hardware components, Firmware and Device Drivers.
Past experience in development & automation in a related area, using PERL/Python/Java is mandatory, even if not hands-on currently.
A minimum of 14 years of experience, with at least 4 years in a management role, with good command on Project Planning, Tracking & Reporting tools.
Experience of leading teams in an Agile environment is a plus.
