The Opportunity

At CS 360 Pro team we have successfully built an extremely simple search-based user experience powered by a data warehouse and backed by a complex hybrid and multi-cloud data pipeline. As the next step, we are expanding our innovations into predictive analytics and natural language interface capabilities. We are seeking a seasoned and dynamic Product Manager to spearhead the integration of artificial intelligence/machine learning (AI/ML) capabilities into our platform.

Nutanix has maintained an average NPS score of 90 for the past 7 years. Our customer success team extensively uses CS 360 Pro, a search-based analytics platform built by SaaS Engineering team to proactively understand customer needs, ensure their retention, discover new expansion opportunities, and provide insights that end-users across the company will use to make customers more successful. CS 360 Pro lets our users to build complex reports and dashboards without the knowledge of writing SQL. CS 360 Pro translates UI-based search into complex SQL queries on-the-fly. The CS 360 Pro Platform engineering and PM team is in India. The PM team is led by the PM leadership from Nutanix HQ at San Jose.

Your Role

As a product manager for CS 360 Pro, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future direction of our product. You will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive roadmap for integrating AI/ML/NLP capabilities and delivering unparallel value to our users.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop a strategic roadmap for integrating AI/ML/NLP capabilities into CS 360 Pro, in alignment with business objectives and user needs.

  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product management, product R&D, support, sales, and marketing, to capture their needs and define the product requirements.

  • Lead the ideation, prototyping and validation of AI driven customer health predictions and recommendation solutions.

  • Using your hands-on SQL skills, understand and analyze the data at various points in the data pipeline to build NLP models that are best suited for SQL translation.

  • Act as a subject-matter expert on AI/ML/NLP technologies, providing guidance and insights to internal teams and stakeholders.

  • Evangelize and advocate for our AI solutions, providing customer briefings and promoting the benefits of our technology to drive adoption and customer satisfaction.

  • Collaborate with our engineering team to ensure seamless integration of AI/ML capabilities into our application.

What You Will Bring

Minimum Requirements

  • You should have 2-3+ years of product management experience and 5-8 years of total experience in customer data management products.

  • You should have at least 2 years of development or product management experience in AI/ML/NLP products.

  • Familiarity with the concerns of customers in the AI/ML solutions space is important.

  • High proficiency in writing SQL queries to extract, analyse, and manipulate data from relational databases and cloud data services.

  • Experience and working knowledge in leveraging data from Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems, Licensing and other customer usage/adoption tracking systems.

  • Familiarity with industry solutions such as RAG (Retrieval Augmented Generation), fine-tuning, serving endpoints, Llama 2, MPT, Falcon, Phi2, Hugging Face, OpenAI, or similar offerings is desired.

  • Your ability to innovate, build and launch successful products should be demonstrated.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail to detail are essential in executing complex projects.

Preferred Requirements

  • Experience in the development of data-intensive applications

  • Knowledge of using Cloud data services such as Snowflake, S3 etc.

  • Knowledge of leveraging data pipelines and ETL technologies

  • Knowledge of quote to cash processes such as opportunity pipelines, quotes, order fulfilment, licensing and renewals

  • Understanding of web development technologies, particularly Java and ReactJS.

  • Experience in enterprise-scale REST API and Microservices design and development.

  • Prior experience of working with distributed Scrum teams, especially with data engineers.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, or related field.

  • 5-8 years of industry experience as a Product Manager or similar role, with a focus on data-driven products and AI/ML technologies.

With just one additional engineer, he built the initial working MVP and received huge adoption from the customers within a month. He expanded the CS 360 Pro team rapidly due to huge demand for the product. Due to his success at Nutanix, and his experience as an industry leader in licensing domain as an author of DMTF & ISO standards and patents in the licensing domain, Arul’s role recently expanded into licensing. Currently Arul serves as a director of product management, reporting to VP of product management at SaaS Engineering organization.
