Senior Space Planner, Real Estate & Workplace Department
Nutanix is a high growth company looking for a highly motivated professional to develop, manage and implement both strategic and tactical space planning solutions at our San Jose, California campus. This is an opportunity for a hands-on professional to help create and refine the standards and policies/procedures for the space planning team who is responsible for MAC (Moves, Adds and Changes), the CAFM system and space planning and moves at corporate headquarters. The Senior Space Planner will report to the Sr. Manger, Strategic Planning and will work closely with IT, HR, Finance and Nutanix business partners. This position is located at our San Jose, California headquarters.
What you will be doing:
Using the campus master plan, refine inter and intra department adjacencies and detailed floor lay-outs.
Work with architect and furniture vendor to program, plan and design new workspace and/or renovate existing space. Turn over design phase to the construction team for implementation.
Review and update when necessary all space and design standards.
Work closely with department heads and managers to establish space requirements and final “who sits where” plans.
The planning team book-ends construction - responsible for programming, planning, schematic design, design development and complete fit-out of the space.
Work with the Real Estate Operations team to ensure space is completely fit out and ready for move-in.
Oversee the move planning process with an outsourced vendor.
Manage and update all floor plans as required.
The space planning team manages medium to large projects and moves.
MAC (Moves, Adds and Changes)
- Work closely with the MAC team to ensure daily activities and small projects fit into the overall master plan.
Working knowledge of CAFM software and space management systems. Proficient in architectural and engineering drawings, concepts and design.
Oversee vendor who performs monthly space walks and updates floor plans as necessary.
Use CAFM system to move employees.
Execute, track and report monthly on everything space related. Ensure all global regions are updating information in the system for accurate reporting.
What we want to see:
Bachelor’s Degree in related field (architectural, design, engineering).
You understand architectural design, furniture design, space lay-out and detailed office fit-out.
8+ years of space planning experience in a commercial office setting.
Experience using AutoCAD.
