Nutanix IT Deskside Services Technician - 12 month contract in Singapore, Singapore

Job Summary

For our rapidly growing site in Singapore we are looking for a pro-active bright IT Deskside Services Technician to help support our APAC IT department. Our APAC IT department manages IT matters for all employees and offices in Singapore, Australia, Hong Kong, Thailand, China and Malaysia meaning you will be working in a very international environment (over 30 countries and counting!). Job Purpose: Provide IT support for APAC in our Singapore office. This includes day-to-day development, organization and coordination of IT projects and activities.

Responsibilities:

  • Present or assist in new hire orientation presentation on services provided by IT to ensure new employees are enabled quickly and intuitively with all the required applications, accounts and access.

  • Install and configure systems including software install and configurations for both Windows PC and Mac OSX.

  • Support user facing services including desktop support, networking, file and print, desktop phone, software install and troubleshooting, and conference room technologies.

  • Participate in greater IT team as a project member and contributor to team’s success for related projects.

  • Proactive involvement in documenting processes and process improvement is a plus.

  • Assisting in rack and stack activities, both on- and offsite.

  • As part of procurement activities you will liaise with IT suppliers and vendors.

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of basic networking (methodologies) is required.

  • Fluent written and verbal language skills in English.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).

  • Ability to deal effectively with multiple projects/tasks.

  • Self-directed.

  • Should be able to handle various pressure situations and workload through flexibility, prioritization and delegation.

  • Problem solver / Troubleshooter.

  • Prior IT experience & exposure to an IT support environment within a multinational company would be highly desirable.

  • Proficiency in additional languages Chinese etc preferred.
